Email

Email systems can service any size group from a local workgroup to a corporation to the world. By installing email routing devices, you can transfer mail smoothly and ef?ciently among several LANs. Email also can be routed to and received from the Internet. This enables users in dozens of countries throughout the world to exchange electronic messages. Early text-based email has given way to elaborate systems that support embedded sound, graphics, and even video data. Some of the major email packages include Microsoft's Exchange Server, Novell's GroupWise, and Lotus Notes.
